FOULIS CASTLE has been the home of the Chiefs of Clan Munro for over 700 years. It
is steeped in the history of the family and of the Clan. It was pillaged and burnt
by the Jacobites in 1746 and rebuilt, as it is now in a Georgian style, incorporating
what was left of the castle. It is a private residence and only open to the public
by appointment.
Foulis Castle is well located being within easy reach of the Culloden Battlefield and many other interesting places yet it is also easy to do a day trip to Skye or to visit the famous National Trust Gardens at Inverewe on the West Coast and many other properties and to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Inverness Airport is situated an easy 3/4 hour drive away while the Highland Capital itself is 18 minutes drive over a spectacular road. All forms of services and supplies can be obtained from Dingwall (4 miles) or from Inverness and there is an excellent foodstore in the village of Evanton (2 ½ miles). "Eating out" is well catered for in the Highland area and there is a good choice of restaurants and hotels.

beyond. Comfortable sofa armchairs are covered in bright chintz and there is a colour
television.
There are TWO BEDROOMS, one 11' x 10' has twin beds and the other 15' x 10' has a

There is a telephone in the entrance hall.
Each bedroom has a portable radio.
A specially equipped drying cupboard with heater and air extractor is next door to the dining area.
The building is fully centrally heated.
A cot is available.
The Pavilion, which overlooks the courtyard garden on one side and policy fields on the other side, is comfortable furnished with antiques and pictures traditionally associated with a Highland Castle.
